Katlego Rasebitse was born and raised in the mining town of Foschville, Gauteng Province, South Africa. He moved to Johannesburg and made waves as an activist advocating for the human rights of same sex couples. He later joined the Sisonke National Movement as a peer educator and made his way up the ranks to where he now serves as the organiser of the South Africa’s only sex work movement. He doubles up as the South African National Aids Council (SANAC) Civil Society Forum sex work sector leader (a forum that constitutes of 18 sectors to advise on HIV, TB and STI response from key population and marginalised groups). He unapologetically represents sex workers on gaining momentum for the decriminalisation of sex work in South Africa.
